Writing for Otaleven Letters
Long-form observational writing on everyday nutrition, seasonal cooking, mindful eating, and the active lifestyle kitchen. Field notes, recorded observations, and considered essays of 1,200–2,000 words. No listicles, no "how-to" articles structured around numbered steps.
Writers with a background in food journalism, nutrition writing, or the sustained practice of attentive cooking. The journal does not require registered professional credentials, but does require evidence of prior published writing in a relevant area, or a compelling writing sample submitted alongside the enquiry.
Send a brief outline (200–300 words) of the proposed article along with a brief description of your writing background to [email protected] with the subject line "Submission Enquiry". Full manuscripts are not accepted without prior editorial discussion.
